Shaker

Baghouse Dust collectors use filter bags hung from the ceiling of the unit to collect dust particles. Shaker dust collectors utilize an electric shaker system to clean the filter bags.

In a shaker style collector, once the dirty air is pulled into the unit, the larger and heavier dust particles fall to the bottom of the collector into a dust storage system. The smaller, more fine particles are pulled to the inside of the hanging bag filters.

To clean the filters, the blower needs to be shut down. Once the blower is shut down, the electric shaker system can then be activated. This is a mechanism at the top of the unit that shakes the filters to release the buildup of fine dust particles. These particles then settle to the bottom of the unit to be collected in the dust storage system.
