Downdraft Table

Downdraft table dust collectors are table systems that are frequently used in applications such as: sanding, welding, grinding, any metalworking application that produces small to medium parts, and polishing, just to name a few. They’re typically not over 4 feet by 8 feet.

Downdraft tables utilize a fan in the bottom of the unit to pull air down through the perforated table and into the filters. This pulls any harmful particles or fumes away from the operator. The now clean and filtered air is then returned to the shop. These units utilize dust drawers at the bottom of the unit to collect the excess and larger dust particles.  They are self-contained, self-cleaning units.

Depending on the brand and model, these tables can utilize a variety of filter configurations including: panels, bags, or cartridges, among others. They also utilize a variety of self-cleaning styles including: pulse cleaning, or Roto-pulse cleaning (in the case of Micro Air downdraft tables).
